I have strengthened my skills through courses such as Advertising Fundamentals, Social Impact of the Media, Public Relations, Social Media, and Marketing.

I delved into various art courses including pottery, dance, and graphic design, which not only enhanced my fine motor skills, coordination, and attention to detail but also broadened my horizons beyond my primary field of study or work. These experiences have contributed to cultivating a multifaceted and dynamic profile. During my time abroad junior year, I seized the opportunity to engage in a variety of arts classes within a different academic system. This experience challenged me intellectually and fostered significant personal growth, evident in my academic achievements and reflective insights documented in my portfolio.

I have also pursued my interests in psychology and sociology, gaining valuable insights into human behavior, motivations, and interactions. Understanding these aspects can greatly enhance communication skills, which are essential in various professional settings, whether leading a team, working with clients, or collaborating with colleagues. The insights gleaned from these disciplines are applicable across diverse professional contexts, contributing to a well-rounded personality beyond my primary field of study.

National Student Advertising Competition

In April, I competed in The National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). Throughout the semester, we diligently worked on the plans book, developing strategies, implementations, and creative elements. I dedicated significant effort to crafting the presentation, collaborating closely with three teammates to pitch our idea to a panel of three judges.

 

NSAC is the premier college advertising competition that provides more than 2,000 college students the real-world experience of creating a strategic advertising/marketing/media campaign for a corporate client.

Senior Thesis

For senior thesis we were given the option to choose our path. For me, I have always had a strong interest in complex topics. I decided to take on a marketing strategy for a public health campaign to create awareness to encourage women managing health concerns or autoimmune conditions, dedicated mothers, and gen z, our mission is to create awareness and give our audience the resources they can utilize to transform their wellbeing. After months of researching the corruption within the food industry with the objective to create awareness about potential hazards to avoid, a new concept emerged: a profound exploration into the transformative power of food as medicine, viewing it not just as sustenance but as a catalyst for a healthier, happier life.

 

Though we may not be able to alter their preferences, our goal is to introduce alternatives that not only enlighten them about the remarkable properties of food in mitigating and reversing diseases and other health issues. 

My "Spark Tank" Pitch

The industrialization of the American food industry, driven by the pursuit of speed and efficiency, has unwittingly contributed to a host of health issues. Despite this abundance, millions still lack access to clean and nutritious options. Now, more than ever, we stand at a critical juncture, calling for a radical shift in how we view and consume food—an imperative my app aims to address.

 

By highlighting the pivotal role of nutrition in promoting well-being, my proposed app seeks to empower our audience to embrace a lifestyle that not only improves their overall health but also allows them to fully savor life, enhancing both their quality of life and extending their biological age.
