Abroad
In my junior year of college, I took the opportunity to study abroad, which was transformative on so many levels. Immersing myself in different cultures not only broadened my understanding of the world but also deepened my self-awareness. Living and studying in a foreign country developed my interpersonal skills and cultivated adaptability and flexibility—essential traits for thriving in unfamiliar environments. It taught me the importance of resilience and the ability to navigate diverse and challenging situations. This firsthand experience greatly enhanced my cultural awareness and equipped me with valuable insights that I can leverage both professionally and personally.

Madrid, Spain
College of International Studies
I studied at CIS University, where I took a variety of enriching classes. In Spain: Past and Present, we explored the history and culture of Spain, gaining a deep understanding of its rich heritage. In Visual Art and Cultural Values, we learned about Spain's magnificent art and masterpieces. My Spanish skills proved invaluable, allowing me to communicate effectively and fully immerse myself in Spain's vibrant culture and history.
Florence, Italy
In August I started the adventure I’d been dreaming about since my time in Spain — I packed my bags and moved to Europe. I left behind the comforts of home, not knowing exactly what to expect. From all corners of the U.S., we packed our bags and got ready to meet strangers, move in with roommates we’d never met, and for me, catch a one-way flight to a city I’d never set foot in. Little did I know, these strangers would soon become my family.
Our lives had taken many different paths up until this point, but we all had one thing in common: we were searching for something extraordinary. And within just the first week, we realized it wasn’t just the place that was special — it was us. Each of us had our own quirks, and soon enough, we loved them all. Over the next three months, we traveled to 10+ countries together, shared countless family dinners, and spent nearly every moment side by side. I’m endlessly grateful for the memories and most of all the people who have changed my life.
